In regard to publications in media that the mummified body discovered in Tehran on Monday April 23rd, 2018, may belong to the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty, His Majesty Reza Shah Pahlavi, I have written a letter to Audrey Azoulay, the Director-General of the UNESCO.

As the Islamic Republic in Iran today marks its 39th anniversary, it is a fact that more than 50% of Iran´s population was not even born when the Islamic regime came to power in 1979. Since then, the people of Iran have been living under the constant propaganda of the Islamic regime, especially in discussing the late Shah of Iran. But today, our youths are thirsting to know the history and be a part of history. However, to be a part of history, we need to know the history. This short text is a humble yet necessary reminder of who the late Shah was.
The clashes in Iran continue, as the protesters enter the 7th day of their demonstrations. For a background, please read my previous post. The people not only chant anti-regime slogans and directly demand the overthrow of the Islamic Republic, but they also continue with their pro-monarchy slogans. According to international media, more than 10 people have been killed. Here are some new clips from Iran, from the last 2 days.
During the last weeks, specially the last days, several protest and demonstrations have occurred all over Iran. These are the largest protests in Iran since the 2009 protests which was brutally crushed by the Islamic Regimes security apparatus.
The background for these demonstrations are multi-factorial:
In 1979 the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, left the country as an Islamic Republic was founded by Rohollah Khomeini. Since then, hundreds of million dollars have been used by the Islamic regime in Iran to destroy the image of the Shah and the monarchy. Today, as 38 years have passed since the Islamic take-over of Iran, and 37 years have passed since the death of the Shah in Cairo, we clearly establish that the Islamic Republic has failed.
Indeed, the support for the Shah is increasing for everyday, as the people of Iran to a greater degree understands how the many accusations towards the Shah and his reign was mostly lies and fabrications. The support for the late Shah and the monarchy is of such magnitude that the Islamic regime has stated that the monarchists are the largest threat to the regime: Abbas Salimi Namin, a high ranking member of the Islamic regime and close to the supreme leader Ali Khamenei, former editor-in-chief of the influential newspaper ”Kayhan” and later the director of the ”Office of Iranian History”, stated in an interview with the ”Student News Agency” that the monarchists are the greatest threat to the security of the Islamic republic.
